The temperature of LED is closely related with the colours of LED Light.Technically, LED chips are designed to emit a specific light colour and from the red, blue, yellow, and pure white light spectrum.This is why LED technology is applied to various applications.The terms warm white and cool white are basically the references to low and high end of this white light colour spectrum.

The difference lies in the term ‘Colour Temperature’ i.e. the colour of the light. According to that, warm lights emit a colour that is close to natural red colour while the cool light appears somewhat bluish. To differentiate between the two, the Kelvin scale comes in handy. The Kelvin scale (determined by letter K) is basically the standard of measuring light in numerical values. So, when you are going to purchase the LED light, make sure you see by a ‘K’ on the packaging. If the range of the number lies between 2700-3000K, then it is considered to be a warm lighting. If the value lies between the ranges 5500-6500K, then it’s a bulb with cool light. Anything in between is considered as a natural light bulb.
